Chandra Singh Negi did his M.Phil from School of Environmental Science, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and PhD on earthworm diversity and population dynamics from Kumaun University, Nainital. He is currently serving as Associate Professor in Department of Zoology, Government Postgraduate College, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Along with teaching both undergraduate and postgraduates for the last 19 years, he has to his credit more than 25 research papers in International journals of repute, five books:
i) Introduction to Endocrinology,
ii) Askote Conservation Landscape- Culture, Biodiversity and Economy,
iii) Earthworm Diversity and Nutrient Cycling,
iv) The Sacred Uttarakhand- Ethnobiological study surrounding sacred natural sites in Uttarakhand, and
v) In the garb of Nanda Devi Raj – A cultural treatise of Western Himalayas
