About the author: Born in Rudrapraag district of Garhwal Himalayas, Shiv Singh Negi has written poems and stories about Uttarakhand in Garhwali, Hindi and English language. He has been awarded the teachers award in 2011 and 2007 for the district. He currently holds the post of Assistant professor at the Rajkiya Inter College Ramashram.
