Born on 27th Dec. 1935 in Uttarakhand he did his Doctorate from Agra University and presented his works on the history of Garhwal Himalayas in his thesis. He has been honored many times by the Government of Uttarakhand for his work on the history of the Himalayan state. Apart from this he has also written, “Sanskriti ke Pad chinh”, “Madhya Himalaya ki Kala” and “Bharatvarsh ka Aitihasik Sthal kosh”.
